Kalki Koechlin names her baby girl Sappho; check out her emotional post

The B-town beauty, Kalki Koechlin recently gave her fans a pleasant surprise by giving birth to a baby girl on February 7. The actress who had been proudly flaunting her baby bump before the delivery has now shared an emotional post of her newly born daughter and she also revealed the name of her child. She named her as Sappho (Sappho was an Archaic Greek poet).

The ‘Made In Heaven’ actress was five months pregnant when she shared the good news with her Insta-fam. Now, she took to her official Instagram handle and shared an adorable picture of her daughter’s footprints. She wrote a lengthy post alongside the picture. She also thanked all for their ‘good wishes’ and ‘positive energy’. While talking about the pain a woman goes through while delivery, she wrote, “Respect to all the women who go through the intense and gruesome experience of birth, be it vaginal or c section, so many of whom are not given credit or support for the biggest challenges they face, but are expected to do it out of some kind of duty. The process takes a huge toll both psychological and physical and should have the backing of an entire community to truly heal.”

Kalki Koechlin and her beau Guy Hershberg have welcomed their first child out of the wedlock. In the recent interviews, the actress even revealed that her pregnancy was unplanned and she is really overwhelmed with the news.
