Kamal Haasan heaps praise on Shershaah; congratulates Sidharth Malhotra & Kiara Advani for their ‘excellent work’

Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer, Shershaah has been winning everyone’s heart worldwide. The film celebrates the selfless sacrifice of Captain Vikram Batra (PVC) aka Shershaah during The Kargil War of 1999. Sidharth plays Capt Vikram Batra and he has been raved for his stellar performance in the war biopic. Superstar Kamal Haasan is the latest actor to laud Shershaah. On Monday, he took to his Twitter handle to share his views on the movie. Coming from a legend like Mr. Haasan is indeed a big one, isn’t it?

Kamal Haasan tweeted, “Right from my childhood as a film fan and a patriot’s son I resented the way Indian army was depicted in some of our Cinemas. Shershaah is that exception that makes my chest swell with pride for my soldiers.” In another tweet, he thanked Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions for promoting director like Vishnu Varadhan and also congratulated Sidharth and Kiara for their work. “Thanks @DharmaMovies for promoting a talented director like @vishnu_dir. Congrats @SidMalhotra and @advani_kiara, excellent work,” read his tweet.

Karan Johar, Kiara and Sidharth thanked the actor for praising the film. Karan tweeted, “Thank you so much Sir! This is such an honour for team #Shershaah.” Kiara and Sidharth also wrote, “Thank you so so much Sir.”

Shershaah released on Amazon Prime Video on August 12.

Talking about Kamal Haasan, he will be seen in Tamil movie Vikram directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The movie also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles.
