After making the audience wait for quite some time now, the makers of Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ have finally unveiled the first look poster of their film.
Releasing the first poster, production house Zee Studios took to Twitter and wrote, “Every country has a hero, Every legend has a legacy, The symbol of Indian Women, The hero of our #Independence The warrior, the Queen of Jhansi”

In the first look poster, Kangana looks extremely fierce and aggressive as Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. The warrior queen is ready to take on the enemies and even has her little baby tied to her back, this shows the kind of valiant and fearless women she was.
Mounted on a large-scale, ‘Manikarnika- The Queen Of Jhansi’ is a story of courage, strength, and determination, that celebrates the extraordinary story of Rani Laxmi Bai, a symbol of heroism in India.
The makers released the poster today as they think that it will be a fitting tribute to the heroes of our freedom struggle. Speaking about this, Kamal Jain, producer of the film said, “It is the day that we remember all the sacrifices that the brave men and women made to get our country independent. If we are today enjoying the benefits of living and breathing in a free country, it is all because of freedom fighters. Many heroes have fought for our freedom and one such hero and In fact, the symbol of heroism in India is our own Manikarnika, our Rani of Jhansi Laxmibai. She inspired many at that time to begin and ignite the Indian freedom fight. We believe with this magnum opus action drama we would be able to pay fitting tribute to this hero and inspire the current generation and generations to come We Embark on the journey for presenting this larger than life tale of determination, strength and valour on this Independence day”.
Kangana Ranaut who has undergone a complete transformation both physically and emotionally to essay this epic role says, “Queen of Jhansi gave her blood in the first war of independence. It’s because of her and many heroes like her that we enjoy our freedom today. Independence day is the obvious choice for poster launch”
Produced by Zee Studios, in association with Kamal Jain, ‘Manikarnika-The Queen of Jhansi’, helmed by Krish, is slated to release on January 25, 2019.
