Kangana Ranaut’s bodyguard arrested for allegedly cheating a woman on pretext of marriage

A few weeks back, Mumbai police had filed a case against Kangana Ranaut’s bodyguard Kumar Hegde under Sections 376 and 377 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). According to the latest update, Kangana’s bodyguard has been arrested from his village in Karnataka on the charges of cheating a woman on the pretext of marriage.

A police officer told PTI, “A team of Mumbai police came here on Saturday and arrested Kumar Hegde from Heggadahalli in Mandya.” Kumar was apparently in a live-in relationship with the victim.  The victim has claimed that Hegde raped her on the pretext of marriage. She has also accused him of fleeing after taking Rs 50,000 from her flat.

Previously commenting on the case filed against Kumar, a senior Police Inspector Bharat Gaikwad of DN Nagar Police Station had told IANS, “A case has been registered against a man named Kumar Hegde under sections 376 and 377 IPC. Prima facie, they had a live-in relationship and a break-up.”

Reports also suggest that Kumar and the victim knew each other for 8 years and they entered into a live-in relationship when he promised to marry her. However, Kumar fled the house and also took away Rs 50,000 from her. His phone was untraceable and finally, the victim lodged a complaint against him.
