Kangana Ranaut calls Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 a ‘much-needed all-time blockbuster;’ praises director Amar Kaushik

Amar Kaushik’s Stree 2 was released in theatres on August 15 and is impressing the fans and critics alike. Amongst the millions loving the film is also actress-politician Kangana Ranaut. The filmmaker – who recently launched the trailer of her next, Emergency, took to her Instagram Stories and praised the horror-comedy and the film’s director. Scroll on to check out her story.

Kangana Ranaut praises Stree 2

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Kangana Ranaut was all praise for the Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2. Appreciating director Amar Kaushik for delivering a ‘much needed all-time blockbuster,’ the actress-politician-filmmaker wrote, “Movie Stree has shattered all records congratulations to the entire team but the real hero of a film is the director. (sic)”

The ‘Emergency’ star continued, “In India, we don’t give enough credit or appreciation to directors that’s why not many youngsters want to be writers/directors. Everyone who wants a career in films meets me for guidance wants to be either an actor or a superstar. Who will make movies if all become actors!!! socho!! So please learn the names of all good directors who do so much to entertain and engage you and please follow them also learn about their lives and process as well please appreciate them also and encourage them too. (sic)”

She concluded her post by writing, “Dear @amarkaushik sir thank you for this much needed all time blockbuster. (sic)”

About Stree 2

Titled Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank, the comedy-horror is directed by Amar Kaushik, written by Niren Bhatt, and produced jointly by Maddock Films and Jio Studios. The film stars The film sees Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana reprising their roles from the 2018 film. Bollywood Bubble gave the film a 4-star rating. A part of the review reads, “is a fun watch that will have you laughing your heart out from the get-go till the end credit scenes roll by.“
