Kangana Ranaut: I will try and direct Manikarnika Returns unless I find someone better for the job

Kangana Ranaut announced the return of Manikarnika a few days back. The pretty actress opened up about how the sequel to the popular Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi will be based on the story of Didda, the warrior queen of Kashmir. As soon as the project, Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda, was announced, it was being speculated that Kangana will wield the director’s microphone once again for this movie. The pretty lady has finally given a definitive statement on the same.

While talking to The Times of India, Kangana has recently said, “I have delivered a ₹100 crore film as a director with Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. So, I will try and keep myself as the director unless I find someone better than me for this job. Obviously, I will be more than happy to just act as an actor because I have lots of responsibilities in terms of other projects that Manikarnika Productions is going to announce. The pressure is a lot but I do believe that I can do a lot. So, I’m looking for someone to direct but if not, then I am there, I will definitely do it.”

It is indeed true that for Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, Kangana had a mighty fallout with the original director Krish. One side was claiming that Krish had abandoned the project, the other side claimed that Kangana wanted to change a lot after the entire film was shot and therefore Krish decided to walk out.

Kangana does have a lot of films like Dhakaad and Thalaivi releasing this year, and only after that, she will be able to start work on the sequel to Manikarnika. Will Kangana be able to find someone who she thinks is competent enough to handle the reigns of the sequel? Or will she end up doing it herself once again? Only time will tell.
