Kangana Ranaut who is riding high on the success of ‘Tanu weds Manu Returns’ talks about her Bollywood Journey and how she made it big without any Godfather.
Kangana Ranaut says, “At 18, I wanted to work with the creme de la creme because I thought that was the only way to be successful. But I don’t think any A-lister has done as many B-grade films as I have. Today, all I want is 50:50 on paper.”
On being asked if she was not affected with the fact that she is not as famous as her contemporaries, Kangana said, “Some people like Mr Bachchan and Aamir Khan have always supported me while some have given me step-motherly treatment.”
“I guess it’s because I’m not a social butterfly, not even on social media. I was never expected to make it as I was the outsider, not the Next Big Thing from the industry. I was mocked and ridiculed. But I made it without a film starring the Khans,” she adds.
