On September 9, her Pali Hill property was partially demolished by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Prior to the demolition, she was in a war of words with Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut for comparing Mumbai to PoK and slamming the Mumbai Police. Kangana later hit back at the Sena government including the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. She alleged that the demolition was politically motivated.
On Sunday, Kangana met the Governor of Maharashtra Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari to explain her point of view to him and also requested that justice is given to her.
