Kangana Ranaut, who is currently busy with the post-production of ‘Manikarnika’ and shoot of Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s ‘Panga’ and ‘Mental Hai Kya’ recently spoke about marriage, babies and much more.
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, the actress was asked about her families contribution in her success, to which she replied, “My family is very emotional and has always been very protective of me, maybe even a little controlling in some ways. When I was hit by professional lows, the emptiness (I felt) only grew till my sister, Rangoli, came along and bridged the gap. I was back with my family when I was around 23-24. Now, they are a little more open to what I want to do while I am more sensitive to their needs. We are in a happy space with my sister’s son, Prithviraj, arriving and my brother Akshat getting his pilot licence.”
She was later asked whether her mother forces her to get married and have babies, Kangana added, “Of course, she does, more so now that I am 31, but the family understands that I need a life partner who will be my match in every way so she doesn’t push me into making a commitment. Whenever I’ve been in a relationship, even my mind skittles in that direction. But men and women want different things from a relationship. Men are driven by their primal instincts while women are not.”

“They want more than physical gratification and are judged for that by being called ‘clingy’ and ‘needy’. Right now, I am single and not seeing anyone so there’s no maternal instinct and urge to extend my family, I’m happy with the one I have. If God wants me to have more, it will happen when the time is right,” she concluded.
