Kangana Ranaut nails it as Jhansi ki Rani in the first look of ‘Manikarnika’

After ‘Rangoon’, now Kangana Ranaut is all set to star in one more period film titled ‘Manikarnika’. The movie is a biopic on Rani Lakshmibai who was famously known as Jhansi ki Rani.

There were reports that the actress will shoot for the film’s first look on her birthday which was on March 23. And now, a sketch of the actress’ look from the film has been unveiled and we must say that Kangana nails it as Jhansi ki Rani.

Kangana looks stunning in the traditional warrior avatar, and we can clearly see a heroic feel on the actress’ face. Kangana has taken training for horse riding and sword fighting for the movie. ‘Manikarnika’ is being directed by Krish who had earlier directed Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Gabbar Is Back’. It is written by KV Vijayendra Prasad who has written the screenplay of films like ‘Baahubali’ and ‘Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion’.

Earlier the movie was supposed to be directed by Ketan Mehta, but later Krish replaced him.
