Kangana Ranaut, who is currently basking in the success of ‘Manikarnika’, was scheduled to host a success bash of the film at her Khar residence on February 16. However, keeping in mind the terrorist attacks at Pulwama, she has indefinitely postponed the bash.
In a statement, Kangana’s spokesperson said, “Good morning, Tomorrow Saturday, 16th February ‘19 Manikarnika success party has been postponed due to the Pulwama attacks on our CRPF soliders. Once a new date has been fixed we shall let you know. Thank you.”
It is to be noted that ‘Manikarnika’ is inching towards the 100 crore mark at the box office. Elaborating further on the success bash, a source was quoted as saying by CineBlitz, “Kangana took no time in cancelling the Manikarnika success bash. She was looking forward to the bash as her directorial debut was no less a battle for her off screen too and she had organised everything personally. When she learnt of the attack, she didn’t think twice before calling off the party even though the invites had been sent out days earlier. She called up her industry friends and other close friends to inform them personally, while sending out the official text messages too.”
It’s extremely responsible of Kangana to call off the party. After all, this is a time where we should mourn the death of the valiant CRPF jawans.
Other than Kangana, the entire Bollywood industry (including the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh and Hrithik Roshan) have tweeted in response to the attack.
