Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming period drama ‘Manikarnika’ is now embroiled in yet another new controversy. After several delays, Kangana taking over the charge from director Krish and Sonu Sood walking out of the film, the latest reports suggest that now the film’s producer has been sacked! Yes, you read that right.
A recent report in Deccan Chronicle suggests that one of the business head, Sujay Kutty of Zee Studios (who are producing this film along with Kamal Jain), has been sacked. Apparently, the reason behind this move is the increasing budget of the film and it was Sujay who gave approval to ‘Manikarnika’.
“It was originally a 10 day re-shoot. But now the film will have multiple changes. Ganesh Acharya is choreographing a song and dance routine with Kangana and Ankita Lokhande. The number is a fancy one designed to bring in audiences for the film. The recovery of such an amount is not that easy, so Kangana is making sure that the film is now, worth the money,” a source was quoted saying in Deccan Chronicle.

Speaking to PinkVilla, Kangana finally reacted on these rumours and clarified, “Sujoy left a few months ago and ‘Manikarnika’ is Zee’s project. We are currently filming ‘Manikarnika’s introduction. Why would Zee sack CEO and keep the project? They can easily sell the project rather than sacking the employee. There is no logic to these nasty stories.”
She further said that the CEO must have been sacked due to some internal issues, and it has got nothing to do with ‘Manikarnika‘.
We wonder how many more controversies ‘Manikarnika’ is going to face now. Every single day we come across a fresh negative story surrounding this film. We hope this stops and the film releases smoothly on its scheduled release date i.e January 25, 2019.
