The war of words between Kangana Ranaut and Shiv Sena doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. After Kangana compared Mumbai to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir’ (PoK), she was called ‘haramkhor ladki‘ by Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut.

The actress had lashed out at Raut for using derogatory terms for her and now she has once again raised questions over the Shiv Sena leader’s remark. Reacting to Raut’s jibe, Ranaut said she pays taxes in crores and asked him how does he contribute to the nation’s economy.

In a recent interview with Times Now, Kangana said that she looked up the meaning of the term ‘haramkhor’ and found out that it means someone who doesn’t pay for what he eats or does in life.

So after finding the exact meaning of the term, hitting out at Raut once again, Kangana told Times Now, “I am the highest-paid actress, gave Rs 15-20 cr taxes. My work provides employment to several people.”

She further elaborated, “I work with hundreds of people on a film sets, there are a certain number of people who are always working with me, my films release in theatres and provide employment to many people there – I want to know how am I a ‘haramkhor ladki’?. I pay tax to the Maharashtra government for my stay and work in Mumbai. I want Sanjay Raut to tell me how does he contribute to the economy.”

Previously, defending his comments on Kangana, Sanjay in his interview with India Today had said, “I just said, if you have a problem with Mumbai then don’t come here. Haramkhor remark has also been taken out of context. In Marathi, it means ‘beiman’ or ‘naughty’. I said it in that context.”

The war of words between Kangana and Raut had escalated to a point that when the actress was on her way to Mumbai from Manali, BMC partially demolished her office in Mumbai. While the civic body cited illegal construction, the actress claimed that she has all the required permissions. Before leaving Mumbai, Kangana also met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and told him about the unjust treatment she received from the Maharashtra government.
