Actress Kangana Ranaut is awaiting the release of her much-anticipated film Emergency. She is a spiritual person and never fails to seek blessings ahead of special occasions. As Emergency is few days away from release, Kangana visited Datia temple in Madhya Pradesh and paid obeisance.
Kangana shares pics of her temple visit
Kangana Ranaut recently visited the Maa Pitambara temple in the Datia area of Madhya Pradesh, ahead of her upcoming film Emergency. For the visit, Kangana wore a yellow saree and wrapped a shawl around her. She was also seen wearing a garland. In one picture, Kangana was seen barefoot outside the temple, captioning it, “Aaj Dattiya mein devi ke darshan kiye (In Datia today, for Goddess’ glimpse).”
Another picture featured the Tejas actress performing Puja. She wrote, “Yeh ek aisa divya sthan hai jahan Mahabharat ke yug mein Ahwatthama dwara ek alaukik shiv ling sthapit kiya gaya tha, jiske humne bhi darshan kiye. Om Namah Shivay (This is such a holy place where in the age of Mahabharat, Ahwatthama had set up a divine shiv ling, which we also saw).”
About Emergency
Talking about the political drama, the actress will play the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film is drama, written, directed, and co-produced by Kangana. It will release in theatres on January 17 and also features Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry and Milind Soman. The film explores the 21-month period of Emergency declared in India from 1975 to 1977. For those unversed, the movie was planned to be released in theatres on September 6. It got postponed owing to censor board certification issues. Several Sikh organisations have also opposed the film’s release, arguing it portrays the community in a negative manner.
