Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Manikarnika’ is doing a good business at the ticket window but we haven’t seen any Bollywood stars praising or promoting the film. Today during an event when the ‘Queen’ actress was asked about it, Kangana said that there are a few celebs in Bollywood who have ganged up against her and her film.
“Mujhe teen-chaar rashtriya purashkar mil chuke hain. At the age of 31, I am a filmmaker. Mujhe yah log kya promote karenge, pehle yah log khud ko promote karle yah badi baat hain. Jo Rani of Jhansi hain, woh kya meri chachi hain. Woh aapki bhi utni hain jitni meri hain. Sab gang banake baithe hue hain ki issne nepotism keupar kyu bola. Sharam nahi aati hain inko. Inmein se koi toh mere dadaji keupar ke hain. Mujhe toh in logon ke saath kaam hi nahi karna hain aur main yah in logonke mu pe bolti hu. Yeh jo Bollywood shariyantra racch raha hain, ek baat toh pakki hain main in logon ko chota mota call out karti rehti thi chahe woh sexism hoh ya nepotism hoh. Lekin aap toh main inke picche par jayungi aur main inki wattt laga dungi. Ek ek ko expose karungi.” (I have got three-four National Awards. At the age of 31, I am a filmmaker. Let them promote themselves, not me. Rani of Jhansi is not my aunty. She is the same as she is to everyone. Everyone is ganging up against me because I have spoken on nepotism. Some are of my grandfather’s age and they should be ashamed about it. I don’t want to work with these people and I say it on their face. The entire Bollywood is conspiring against me as I have called out on small topics like sexism and nepotism. Now, I will be after them and will expose everyone)
Now let’s see how celebs react to it.
