Post the ghastly Pulwama attack, the entire nation is mourning the death of around 40 CRPF soldiers and people are urging the government to take some firm action against neighbouring country Pakistan. Bollywood celebs too have said that the sacrifice of our soldiers should not be forgiven and forgotten.’Manikarnika’ actress Kangana Ranaut has now requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to scrap Article 370 in Jammu & Kashmir.
Sharing her views on the attacks, Kangana told National Reporter, “Our anger is justified. We should use this time to do something constructive. And it is my sincere request to our Prime Minister that Article 370 should be completely scrapped. I feel that after so many years of Independence, no state in our country should face confusion as to where they belong.”
As per Article 370, except for defence, foreign affairs, finance and communications, Parliament needs the state government’s agreement for applying all other laws.
When asked about the ban imposed on Pakistani artistes, Kangana said, “People in Pakistan love our films and love us but somewhere we need to draw the line. There is a religion for everything, the war also has its own religion. In this, we are with our country. And the people of Pakistan should be inspired. They are with their country and we are with ours. This is not against humanity. There are no two ways about it. We are with our soldiers, our government and our soil. There should be no conflict. If families of the soldiers are hurt, then why should we entertain Pakistani artists? Emotions of the families are the most important right now.”
In the wake of the attacks, several filmmakers have decided against releasing their films in Pakistan.
