Deepika Padukone made a bold choice by starring in ‘Chhapaak’, a film based on acid-attack survivors. When your face is your calling card portraying an acid attack survivor is not an easy task. The actress was praised for her choice of role. However, a video where Deepika is seen asking a TikTok influencer to recreate her ‘Chhapaak’ look didn’t go down well with the netizens. Obviously, the actress was slammed for her insensitivity and schooled how the purpose of the film gets defeated by such antics.

Now Kangana Ranaut has opened up about how her sister Rangoli Chandel, who is an acid attack survivor, was hurt after watching that video.

Kangana also said that Deepika should apologise for the insensitivity. Commenting on the outrage caused by that viral video, Kangana told India Today, “My sister was very hurt with that video. I am sure Deepika must have an explanation for that why and how, what circumstances, because sometimes marketing teams plan things in a way and we don’t have time to go exactly into the depths of that. But people who are hurt with this, like my sister, must be apologised to and it’s not a make-up look and nobody should try and achieve it with make-up products. That kind of insensitivity should be apologised for and there is no harm in doing that.”
