Known for her bold attitude and no-nonsense demeanour, Kangana Ranaut has once again made a shocking confession which is sure to snowball into another controversy anytime soon. She revealed the real reason for her not being present at any award shows.
During a podcast, the actress spilled beans on shunning award shows and stated actress and new mom Soha Ali Khan as the reason. Surprised? Well, we are too. So, Kangana says that on one occasion, she was running late for an awards show due to traffic and had conveyed the same to the organisers, and then they presented the Best Supporting Actress award to Soha Ali Khan for ‘Rang De Basanti’ instead of presenting it to Kangana for ‘Life… In A Metro’.” (Also Read: Kangana to deliver speech at Harvard Business School)
She then went on to reveal as to how on another occasion she was told that she would be given the Best Supporting Actress Award for ‘Krrish 3’ but she was in the US at the time and was unable to fly down for the awards night. As a result the award was handed over to Supriya Pathak for ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela’. Ohkay! The actress has started a whole new debate criticising award shows severely. We don’t know as to where will this discussion head, but we hope things don’t worsen.
Passionate about writing, and a Bollywood lover, she is all that is sweet and endearing! She desires to put her best foot forward in everything that she does and loves to help anyone who’s in need.
