Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chathrath’s wedding reception in Mumbai to be held on THIS date

This year seems to be a year of weddings. From Sonam Kapoor, Neha Dhupia to Deepika Padukone, many A-listers have got hitched this year. Next is Priyanka and Nick and also Kapil Sharma. The ace comedian is tying the knot to his longtime girlfriend Ginni Chatrath in Amritsar on December 12 in her hometown Phagwara, Jalandhar.

Kapil himself confirmed the news of his wedding saying, “The wedding is on December 12 in Jalandhar. That’s Ginni’s hometown. We wanted to keep it low key. But Ginni is the only daughter in her family. Her folks wanted the wedding to be on a lavish scale. And I completely understand their sentiments. My mother also wants the wedding to be lavish.”

The pre-wedding ceremonies will start from December 10 with maata ka jagran, mehendi and sangeet that would be followed by the wedding. There will be two lavish receptions – one on December 14 in Amritsar and the second one in Mumbai on December 24. A five-star hotel is said to have been booked for the wedding and also a swanky hotel has been booked for the Amritsar reception.

Kapil is head over heels in love with Ginny. He also went for a tour in Amsterdam with his fiance when he was going through a bad phase of his life due to consumption of too much alcohol and depression. It seems Kapil’s life is back on track now personally as well as professionally. We wish him a great life ahead.
