Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji dismiss rumours of Brahmastra 2 & 3 being shelved as they celebrate 1 year of Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor starrer

Brahmastra movie starring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have completely changed the face of Hindi cinema. People were absolutely amazed to see astraverse in Bollywood amidst the craze multiverse. When Brahmastra was released, people constantly spoke about its terrific story and VFX. Well, Brahmastra has now completed a year and here’s how director Ayan Mukerji and producer Karan Johar are celebrating it.

With their celebration, Karan Johar and Ayan seemed to have also refuted the rumours of Brahmastra 2 and 3 getting shelved. There were reports saying that Brahmastra has been shelved as Ayan will be directing Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR starrer War 2. In fact, there was a fallout between Aya and Karan as the latter wanted the director to finish the Brahmastra sequels before shooting for War 2.

Well, it seems like the movies are happening now. Karan captioned, “Today we mark and celebrate one year of this labor of love. Truly, one experience….one journey….one story that is told with the heart and soul. An army of people giving in their best to showcase nothing short of magic on the big screen. Whereas Ayan captioned, “Happy 1st Birthday, Brahmāstra! Thank you for all the Creativity, all the HardWork, and for all the Lessons in Film-making, and in Life! P.S.: Will share some early artwork from the next stage of the Brahmāstra journey in a bit!”

Ayan also treated fans with some early artwork from the next stage of the Brahmastra. He captioned, “BRAHMĀSTRA – PART TWO: DEV. Early Concept Art Work. Has been a few months of working steadily on the Vision and Story for Brahmāstra 2 & 3! On this special day for Team Brahmāstra, felt like sharing a few key images of our Inspiration.”

In April, Ayan announced Brahmastra Part 2: Dev will be released in 2026 whereas Part 3 will be released in 2027.
