Karan Johar’s birthday party leaves 50 guests infected with COVID-19? Deets inside

On May 25, Karan Johar hosted a lavish birthday party to celebrate his 50^th birthday. The birthday was a star-studdent event. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Amruta Arora, Malaika Arora, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Tabu, Kajol, Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Saba Azad, Abhishek Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Sara Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput among others were part of the birthday bash.

BollywoodHungama recently reported that at least 50-55 guests from the party tested positive for COVID-19 after attending KJo’s bash.

Now, according to the latest report, Karan’s birthday bash was not a Covid hotspot. IndiaToday.in quoted a source saying, “Karan Johar is currently shooting for Koffee With Karan and undergoing the mandatory RTPCR test. All protocols on the sets are being followed. The guests too are part of the process.”

It further added, “The reports of almost 50 guests present at the party testing positive is bizarre. The party was held almost 10 days back and it is only now that Aditya Roy Kapur has confirmed of testing Covid 19 positive.”

The source added, “Most of the celebrities and guests who were part of the party have travelled for their individual commitments post the party, yet every time there is a Covid surge amid celebrities, somehow KJo’s name appears.”

For the uninitiated, Kartik Aaryan recently informed fans that he tested positive for the virus. The actor shared a picture on Instagram and wrote, “Sab kuch itna positive chal raha tha.. Covid se raha nahi gaya.” For the unversed, Kartik was not present at Karan’s party.
