Karan Johar breaks silence on Janhvi Kapoor replacing Alia Bhatt in Dulhania 3: Would love to have accuracy instead of speculation

Only yesterday, rumours were rife with actor Janhvi Kapoor will play the lead role opposite Varun Dhawan in Dulhania 3. It was said that Janhvi would be replacing Alia Bhatt to become Varun Dhawan’s Dulhania in the third instalment. As the news was making a lot of noise on social media, filmmaker Karan Johar issued an official statement on his Instagram stories, clarifying the speculations.

He said that media houses need to not spread any conjecture about the continuance of a franchise or the beginning. Moreover, the filmmaker KJo also asked the publications to have accuracy instead of speculation. After he shared the statement, Varun Dhawan also shared it on his Instagram stories, agreeing with the director. Varun sharing the post only confirms that Dulhania 3 is happening.

He wrote, “Every morning I wake up to the news that is not an official confirmation by Dharma Productions. Would request members of the media to please not conjecture about the continuance of a franchise or the beginning of one! We will give details when the time and plans are formulated and fructified. We are humbled by the excitement shown to our future films but would love to have accuracy instead of speculation.“

Speaking about the Dulhania franchise, the first part titled Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania was headlined by Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. The two also carried forward the second part titled Badrinath Ki Dulhania which also received a good response. Fans loved Alia and Varun’s chemistry. Given that Dulhania 3 is said to be on the cards, fans are psyched to see Alia and Varun again.
