On December 14, Karan Johar took to Instagram to share these cherished behind-the-scenes moments from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. One standout photo captures him directing the film, coffee mug in hand. Another collage features the ever-charismatic Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan grinning and posing together.

Fans were treated to a nostalgic group shot of the film’s leading actors and a heartwarming picture of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan. Among the highlights were iconic images of Kareena Kapoor as Poo, including one where she dazzles in a red dress while posing with Hrithik Roshan, and another where she wears a traditional salwar suit, with Hrithik in a complementary kurta. These contrasting moments are sure to tug at heartstrings.

Reflecting on his journey, KJo described the experience of directing such a legendary cast during his sophomore outing as a surreal moment in his career. He expressed gratitude to the incredible crew and cast who believed in him, enabling him to portray both joy and sorrow on screen. He also extended a special thank you to fans, whose enduring love for the film—evident through quoted lines and dance parties to its songs—helps keep its legacy vibrant.

The post drew admiration from many, including Ayushmann Khurrana, Manish Malhotra, and other celebrities, who flooded the comment section with heart emojis in appreciation.

In a previous interview on the Cyrus Says YouTube channel, director Nikkhil Advani revealed an interesting tidbit about a grand helicopter entry that Shah Rukh Khan had envisioned for his character in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. However, the final scene didn’t match his expectations. Instead of a dramatic arrival, the scene focused on Jaya Bachchan’s character learning about her son’s arrival as he merely stepped down from the helicopter.
