Karan Johar opens up about Rocky Randhawa

Along with Alia and Ranveer, the film also features Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles. Speaking of the lead actors, Alia Bhatt impressed the netizens with her Bengali avatar while Ranveer Singh stole the limelight of the film with his character as a Punjabi Munda, just Ranveer Singh in his natural avatar! The actor managed to ace the role with ease and without making it look cringe.

As Rocky Randhawa has thoroughly impressed the audience, director Karan Johar gave out insights of the flamboyant Rocky! In an interview with Film Companion, the director said, “Rocky needed to be this lovable boy. He had to be Poo but updated. He was like the male Poo, and he was like the Ken to Barbie. It’s all ironic that Barbie is out here now. So, he was like the perfect kind of Ken, who has had rough edges.” The director further said that he wanted Rocky to be lovable, vulnerable and clueless about the world.
