Earlier, there was a divide between Bollywood and Tollywood; however, the lines are now getting blurred. Now we see diversity and now films are called Indian films rather than terming to one industry. In fact, South stars including Prabhas, Vijay Deverakonda, and Ram Charan are now starring in Bollywood movies.
During the promotional event of Brahmastra in Hyderabad, filmmaker Karan Johar speaks about the Bollywood and Tollywood divide but gives the quirkiest reply to the question. While thanking Jr NTR for gracing the event as a chief guest, Karan Johar thanked him for gracing the event while mentioning that they are not in the woods anymore.
KJo said, “Thank you Jr NTR for honouring us with your presence and being our special-special chief guest. Your support means the world. We, in our own tiny way, are trying to reach every corner [of the country with our film]. Like SS Rajamouli sir said, this is Indian cinema. Let’s not call it anything else. We keep giving it a wood… Bollywood, Tollywood. We are not in the woods anymore, we are out of them. We are proudly part of Indian cinema. Each and every film will be now from Indian cinema.”

Meanwhile, Jr NTR was seen praising Ranbir Kapoor at the event where he mentioned that the Sanju actor inspired him after he watched him in Rockstar. The RRR actor said, “And after Amit ji, there is one actor which I really connect to and it’s Ranbir. Every film of his has really inspired me as an actor and my most favourite is Rockstar. The intensity that Ranbir had while he was performing his role in Rockstar really left a mark on me. And I should say that he really inspires me as an actor. Everything about him, I really like the intensity in Ranbir too.”
