Karan Johar lovingly expresses gratitude towards Shah Rukh Khan and Aditya Chopra with a sweet post

On Thursday, filmmaker Karan Johar shared an unseen picture of Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji from the sets of Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. While sharing this throwback picture, KJo even expressed gratitude towards SRK and producer Aditya Chopra who convinced him that even he could be a storyteller. Since he became a director, he has been thanking the Universe as well as Shah Rukh and Aditya for the same.

Backing the throwback picture, Karan captioned, “Being a bystander to such incredible talent has been my hugest learning curve…. I look back with indelible memories and gratitude. Not a single day I haven’t thanked the universe, Aditya Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan for convincing me that I could be a storyteller and attempt to direct my childhood dreams on celluloid.“

Reacting to the post, most of the fans went down memory lane. The fans praised the movie and how it was ahead of its time back then. A user wrote, “And so many from my generation specially me thanks our stars that our love from movies came from watching Aditya Chopra and your movies.” While another one said, “@karanjohar your the one of theee best of best and my all time favvv director you’re movie fabbbbbbb lots of love.” There was one more who commented, “I think it’s from kank, most under rated movie sir. People judged it out of infidelity but it was more about living in loveless marriages ..your best work@karanjohar.”

Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna is a story of Dev and Maya, who fall in love with each other, despite being married. The movie also starred Preity Zinta as SRK’s wife and Abhishek Bachchan as Rani’s husband. KANK also had Amitabh Bachchan and Kirron Rao in pivotal roles.
