It is no secret that the nepotism debate has gained momentum on all social media platforms ever since Sushant Singh Rajput died last month. The actor was suspected to be going through a rough phase because of the prevailing nepotism in Bollywood.
Filmmaker Karan Johar has been at the centre of this entire fiasco as netizens have been blaming him for launching only star kids and not giving the outsiders any chance. Now, there is a buzz that Karan will no longer be co-producing Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sooryavanshi’. However, that’s not the truth.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh quashed all these rumours as he wrote, “IMPORTANT… News doing the rounds of #KaranJohar not being part of #Sooryavanshi is untrue, clarifies #RelianceEntertainment.”

Earlier there were also report stating that amidst this fiasco Karan’s most talked-about show ‘Koffee with Karan’ will also be shelved. A source was quoted saying in Pinkvilla as, “With the ongoing controversy around, the channel has decided to not shoot the sixth season anytime soon. They have expressed their concerns and are aware that the new season if begun, will face a lot of ire from the audience and on social media.”
The source further added, “While the Coronavirus outbreak has also played spoilsport, several leading actors have also decided to not shoot for the show, because they don’t want to add more fuel to the fire. Now, Star has to take a call on whether they want to discontinue the show completely henceforth.”
However, there is no confirmation on this by the makers yet. Until then, you guys stay tuned.
