Karan Johar opens up on his secret relationship, says Varun Dhawan was ‘supportive’ when he broke-up

Karan Johar, who has been quite private about his personal life opened up about the same on his chat show Koffee With Karan season 7. The filmmaker made some interesting revelations about his love life. He shared he was in a relationship. Karan spoke about his personal life during an interesting conversation with his Koffee guests Anil Kapoor and Varun Dhawan, on the show Koffee With Karan 7.

During the show, Karan Johar tried his best to get his guests Anil Kapoor and Varun Dhawan to speak about sex, infedelity and relationships. However, the filmmaker went on to disclose a few secrets himself. When Karan asked Varun about the many girls he dates before he tied the knot with wife, Natasha Dalal, the SOTY actor turned the tables on the filmmaker himself.

Speaking with Varun, Johar said, “You were on and off in your relationship dynamic with Natasha before (wedding). You’ve been a boy about town… You’ve had a fair amount of interactions with many other girls before you kind of decided to cement your relationship and get married.” Further, Karan stressed up upon how Varun’s latest movie Jugg JuggJeeyo focuses on infidelity. Then, Dhawan mentioned how Karan seems too interested in the particular topic and also made a movie on it.

“Does this mean that you know a lot of people who are cheating in the marriages,” Varun then asked Johar. To which, Karan replied and said, “Yes.” When the actor asked Karan if he knows someone who’s cheating, the filmmaker refused to disclose names. Furthermore, Varun asked Karan if he’s cheating on his partner and Johar replied saying, “I have to be in a relationship to cheat. You know I am not and you know I broke up.”

Later, the filmmaker said, “You wanted that out of me? You know I broke up and you were very supportive of me in that relationship. Thank you very much.”

Meanwhile, Karan is currently basking in the success of his recently released produced movie Brahmastra. Work-wise, the filmmaker is set to make his directorial comeback with the movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. It features Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.
