Karan Johar is all set to return at the director’s chair with his next Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. All eyes are on him and by all the assets that have been released till now, he hasn’t disappointed. The audience is waiting for the return of true blue Bollywood with this film.

When it’s a KJo film, music has to be an integral part of it. The first song of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Tum Kya Mile, has already become a chartbuster. And as it turns out, the whole Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani album is a tribute from Karan to musical legends of Bollywood.

Karan Johar pays tribute to legends with RARKPK album

The year 2023 marks Karan’s 25 years of filmmaking and music has always been an integral part of his films. Thus, following suit, Karan has integrated his love for old classic songs in a beautiful way for RARKPK album. The first song, Tum Kya Mile, reminded of the classic 90s romantic songs. Even the setting of the snow mountains was a homage from Karan to Yash Chopra.

Now, with the whole album of the film, music composer Pritam and Karan have teamed up to revive the golden era of Bollywood music. They are paying homage to the songs that they have grown up on. It’s an ode to the legends of the golden era of music. The song Jhumka from the trailer is already quite awaited. It fits in the jugalbandi setting that we have witnessed in Bollywood music in the 90s era. The album of RARKPK is surely going to be a treat to the ears.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani release date

Karan is returning to the director’s chair after 7 years with Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead. The film also features veteran actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. The trailer of the film was recently released and has been getting rave reviews from all over. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani will release theatrically on July 28, 2023.
