Karan Johar recommended Fawad Khan’s name to co-host an award show with him?

It looks like Karan Johar and Fawad Khan are the new BFF’s in B-Town. Fawad was last seen in ‘Kapoor & Sons’ which was produced by Karan, and will also be seen in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ which is directed by the latter.

We all know that Fawad and Karan will be co-hosting one of the upcoming Bollywood functions. And it is said that it was Karan who recommended Fawad’s name for the award show.

A source close to the organisers has quoted in a leading daily, “Initially, the organisers had thought of approaching a number of A-list stars for co-hosting the ceremony with Karan. However, when they discussed it with filmmaker, he recommended Fawad.”

“Karan has been working with us for many years and we share a good rapport with him. So when he suggested that Fawad co-host the gala, we were more than happy to get him on board as he is a popular star both in India and overseas. He is the perfect fit,” added the source.
