Karan Johar reveals Ranbir Kapoor has refused to come on Koffee With Karan due to THIS reason

The upcoming season of Karan Johar’s talk show ‘Koffee With Karan’ has been making headlines ever since it was announced. KWK 7 will directly stream on Disney+ Hotstar. Fans are beyond excited and waiting for their favourite stars to grace the infamous couch this season.

In a recent interview, Karan spilled the beans on KWK season 7. He revealed that Ranbir Kapoor has requested him not to call him on the show. Yes, you read that right!

Firstly, Karan talked about how celebrities are more cautious about their statements now. He told Film Companion, “They are not so candid. I am shooting season 7 now and I have to yank it out. It used to be so much easier. Everyone is like, ‘Will you ask me about this, please don’t ask me about this. Can you cut that out?’ And I am like, what’s going on? What happened to candour, what happened to the old fashion casual repartee in an interview?”

He added that people were so much easier on that couch but now everyone’s worried. Karan went on to add that celebrities now get really scared. He went on to talk about Ranbir Kapoor and revealed why he won’t come on the show.

He said, “Ranbir Kapoor has told me ‘I am not coming on this show. You have to pay a price for it for too long. Why should I do this to myself? Listen, I love you, I will meet you at your house and talk to you. Give me coffee at home, I am not coming.”

Ranbir Kapoor is currently making headlines as his film Brahmastra’s trailer was released today. Ayan Mukerji directorial also stars Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna. The trailer has received good response from the audience. Brahmastra is slated to release on September 9.
