Karan Johar reviews Alia Bhatt starrer Darlings, asks Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri to take a bow

Alia Bhatt is currently making headlines because of her upcoming Netflix film, Darlings. Apart from Alia Bhatt, Darlings also stars Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, and Roshan Matthew. Ahead of Darlings’ release, Karan Johar was all praise for Alia and the entire team. He took to Instagram to share two posters of the film and showered everyone including Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan with compliments.

Karan wrote, “A debut director so assured that she sucks you into the vortex of #Darlings like a bonafide veteran! To balance humour (dark and conversational) with a sensitive subject is a massive challenge in itself but the team of this nuanced noir and exceptionally solid film take it on ad emerge victor victorious! So fun! So hard hiting and so engaging!”

Karan went on to add, “All at once! @aliaabhatt @shefalishahofficial @itsvijayvarma @roshan.matthew are FANTASTIC!!! This is the best ensemble of actors I have seen in a long time! BRAVE! Take a bow @jasmeetkreen what a debut!!!! Can’t wait to see more of your work!”

The trailer of Darlings was released on July 5 and it received a great response. Darlings is slated to release on August 5 on Netflix.
