The Narcotics Control Bureau is currently investigating the drug probe in Bollywood. For the same, the agency has issued a notice to filmmaker Karan Johar. The filmmaker will be questioned about the 2019 viral party video that was speculated to be related to drug use.
The NCB issued the notice after a complaint was filed by politician Manjinder Singh Sirsa. The party was attended by Bollywood celebrities like Vicky Kaushal, Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor and others. Sirsa is of the opinion that drugs were consumed at said party.

Earlier, talking about the allegations in relation to his party video, Karan had said in his official statement, “Certain news channels, print/ electronic media and social media platform(s) are wrongly and misleadingly reporting that narcotics were consumed at a party that I, Karan Johar hosted on July 28, 2019, at my residence. I had already clarified my position way back in 2019 that the allegations were false.”
The NCB is investigating the drug probe in relation to the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, but Mutha Ashok Jain, Deputy Director General of NCB has reportedly clarified that the video has nothing to do with that.
