Filmmaker Karan Johar has accquired the rights of Malayalam movie, Hridayam. Karan today took to his social media handles to make the announcement. The romantic film will be remade in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. KJo took to his official Twitter and Instagram handles to share the news. Both Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios have acquired the rights of Hridayam.

Dharma Productions & Fox Star Studios have acquired the rights to a beautiful, coming-of-age love story, #Hridayam in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu all the way from the south, the world of Malayalam cinema. Talking about Hridayam, it is directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan and it featured Pranav Mohanlal, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Darshana Rajendran in lead roles. It got positive response at the box-office and is currently streaming on Disney+Hotstar.

Coming back to Karan Johar, he is returning to direction after 5 years. He is directing Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. The film is slated to release in 2023.
