Karan Johar has directed films like ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’, ‘My Name Is Khan’, ‘Student of the Year’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. We are sure his fans are waiting for him to helm his next soon. So, recently while talking at Melbourne Film Festival the director stated that his next will portray level of excitement he has for Yash and Roohi, his twins. The filmmaker became a father this year through surrogacy and gave everyone, from fans to fraternity, a pleasant surprise. He even shared an adorable picture of his six-month-old munchkins, this Raksha Bandhan, on August 7.
Karan said, “My cinema has always been an extension of my state of mind… Whether it was ‘My Name Is Khan’ or ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, it has always been resonant with my state of mind.”
“It’s not that I will make parental film but there would be layers in my next film that would actually explicitly portray my humongous level of excitement for having Yash and Roohi,” he added.
Karan’s film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ was about family and relationship between children and parents. But, we are quite excited to see what he will showing in his next movie. (Also Read: Karan Johar to make his comeback as an actor?)
While Karan is yet to finalise his next as a director, he is producing some really interesting films like ‘Ittefaq’, ‘Drive’, ‘Raazi’, ‘Student Of The Year 2’ and ‘Dragon’. ‘Ittefaq’ stars Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha, and it is slated to release on November 3, 2017. Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez-starrer ‘Drive’ will be hitting the screens on March 2, 2018. And ‘Raazi’ which stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal releases on May 11, 2018. Well, the release dates of ‘Student Of The Year 2’ and ‘Dragon’ are not yet announced.
