Bua Kareena Kapoor says she ‘can’t wait’ to hold niece as Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor announce baby girl’s name

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor on Thursday, announced the name of their baby girl. Bua Kareena Kapoor Khan reacted and expressed her excitement. As Alia Bhatt made the post, announcing the name of her baby girl, Kareena Kapoor Khan was quick to respond. She showered love on her niece and expressed her excitement to meet the little one.

On Instagram, Alia Bhatt announced that Ranbir Kapoor and she have decided to name their daughter, Raha Kapoor. The Laal Singh Chaddha actress took to the comments section of the Instagram post and reacted. Kareena Kapoor said she ‘can’t wait’ to hold Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s daughter, baby girl Raha Kapoor.

In the comments section of the post, Kareena wrote, “Raha Kapoor can I hold you (red heart icon) can’t wait (red heart icon).”

Earlier, new mom Alia shared a blur photo of Ranbir and her holding their little one. The couple was clicked with the camera focus on a baby jersey hanging on the wall. The jersey had the name ‘Raha Kapoor’ written on it.

Announcing the name of her little one, Bhatt also explained the different meaning to the name of her baby girl. The actress said that the name Raha was chosen by Neetu Kapoor and it means, “Raha, in its purest form means divine path.” She further explained how Raha also means Joy in Swahili, clan in Sanskrit, peace in Arabic and it also means happiness, freedom & bliss.

Alia further wrote, “And true to her name, from the first moment we held her – we felt it ALL! Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun.”

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed their baby girl on November 6. The couple then announced the birth of their little one in a social media post.

Ranbir and Alia got married in April, this year. And, in only months of their marriage, the couple had announced they are pregnant for the first time.
