Kareena Kapoor Khan reveals why she agreed to star in ‘Veere Di Wedding’

Few days ago, it was announced that Kareena Kapoor Khan will be seen sharing screen space with Sonam Kapoor in Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor’s joint production venture ‘Veere Di Wedding’. Recently, in an interview, with a leading web portal Kareena revealed that why she agreed to star in the film.

When the actress was asked what made her say yes to the film, she said, “I don’t know but I think I fell in love with the script when I read it four months ago. Rhea offered it to me and it was an instant feeling. There hasn’t been an Indian chic-flick, it has always been about the hero and the heroine. Nobody talks only about the women. Even when there are 4 tracks, there are 2 boys and 2 girls. There’s never been a complete girl power script that talks about the lives of the girls and four friends. So it is a story of four school friends and how their life pans out at their friend’s wedding.”

“I think it is India’s first chic-flick and I am looking forward to it. And who better than Sonam and Rhea to helm this project. I begin shooting for the movie on August 1,” she added.

‘Veere Di Wedding’ also stars Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania.
