Kareena Kapoor, Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat co-starred in the recently released Netflix thriller Jaane Jaan. The film brought together these 3 stalwarts that have a lot to offer. Being in each other’s company on shoot was a great experience for them too. And recalling that experience, Vijay made an interesting revelation.
Vijay Varma on feeling ‘inspired’ by Kareena Kapoor
When Kareena Kapoor was shooting for Jaane Jaan, her sons Taimur, Jeh and husband Saif Ali Khan often accompanied her. And seeing them together warmed Vijay’s heart too. In an interview with Film Companion, he recalled, “Saif was there to babysit the kids when she was shooting, and very lovely to see the entire family. The little one was on the set holding a mic and trying to sing. So, it was a very beautiful environment.”
Not just that, it even made Vijay feel inspired to have a family of his own. When asked about what he learned from Kareena during the shoot, the actor revealed, “I wanted to have a family, make a family right after.”
To this quippy statement, even Kareena had a quirky response. He teased Vijay as she said, “You’re on route, I have a feeling. Mujhe aise lag raha hai tumne inspiration kaafi le liya hai. (I feel that you have taken a lot of inspiration).” For the unversed, Vijay Varma is currently dating Tamannnaah Bhatia. Their relationship has become talk of the town and Vijay often gets teased about it from a lot of his co-stars. Even Kareena has joined that list now.
Jaane Jaan review
Jaane Jaan is a murder thriller set in Kalimpong. It shows the story of a single mother Maya Dsouza, played by Kareena, who has a mysterious neighbour (Jaideep Ahlawat). She becomes a suspect when a police office goes missing in the city. Vijay Varma plays another cop who comes to investigate the case.
The film has received mixed reviews. At Bollywood Bubble, we gave the film 3 out of 5 stars. A part of the review read, “If you’re up for a decent mystery-thriller this weekend and if you have not read the original book, Jaane Jaan could be an apt choice for you. But don’t expect too many twists and turns from this Sujoy Ghosh-directorial. Watch it for one of the best performances by Jaideep Ahlawat!”
