Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan break lockdown rules to pay their last respects to Rishi Kapoor

Rishi Kapoor passed away today morning in Mumbai. He was admitted to Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital on Wednesday morning. He was battling cancer for the past two years. His last rites will be performed at Chandanwadi Crematorium in Kalbadevi, Mumbai.

Wife Neetu Kapoor and son Ranbir Kapoor were in the hospital. Ranbir’s alleged girlfriend Alia Bhatt arrived at the hospital to be with the family. Also, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan have also arrived at the hospital.

Neetu Kapoor released a statement on Rishi Kapoor’s death.

The excerpt from the post read: “Our dear Rishi Kapoor passed away peacefully at 8:45 am IST in hospital today after a two-year battle with leukemia. The doctors and medical staff at the hospital said he kept them entertained to the last.

He remained jovial and determined to live to the fullest right through two years of treatment across two continents. Family, friends, food and films remained his focus and everyone who met him during this time was amazed at how he did not let his illness get the better of him.”

As per reports, Rishi Kapoor’s daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahani has sought special permissions from the Ministry of Home Affairs to travel to Mumbai from Delhi.

On the work front, Rishi Kapoor was last seen in ‘The Body’. He had two projects in the pipeline-‘Sharmaji Namkeen’, and ‘The Intern’.
