Kareena Kapoor is a wonderful actress. The actress is all set to maneuver into production space and well, she is also an author. After the birth of her second child Jeh, the actress published a book titled ‘Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible’. However, things turned ugly when a community objected to the use of the word Bible. During her recent hearing, the actress clarified she never intended to hurt anyone’s religious sentiments.

As reported by Bollywood Hungama, Kareena’s lawyers, Divya Krishna Billaiya and Nikhil Bhatt, recently appeared before the court when they clarified that the actress has no intention of hurting anybody’s sentiments. The lawyers denied the allegations of hurting religious sentiments and stated that the book was not intended to offend any community. The next hearing in the Madhya Pradesh High Court on the matter will be held on September 10, 2024.

Why Was Kareena Kapoor Sent a Legal Notice?

In May this year, Kareena received a notice from the Madhya Pradesh High Court for using the word ‘Bible’ in the title of her book, ‘Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible.’ It happened after Christopher Anthony, a social activist from Jabalpur, stated that the word ‘Bible’ in Kareena’s memoir’s title is hurtful to the sentiments of the Christian community. “The Bible is the holy book of Christianity all over the world and it is wrong to compare Kareena Kapoor Khan’s pregnancy with the Bible,” he is reported to have said in his petition.

Talking about her book, the Crew actress in one of her post stated, “This has been quite the journey.  Both my pregnancies and writing my Pregnancy Bible. There were good days and bad days; some days I was raring to go to work and others where I struggled to get out of bed. This book is a very personal account of what I experienced both physically and emotionally through both my pregnancies.”

Kareena’s book, ‘Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible’, was published in August 2021 and initially gained popularity, even making it to the bestsellers list. However, the controversy surrounding its title led to a legal notice from the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
