After making her Bollywood debut with JP Dutta’s ‘Refugee’ opposite Abhishek Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor had appeared on ‘Rendezvous With Simi Garewal’ in 2000. In her interview, Kareena had made several startling revelations about her life. However, when she was asked about who she would like to go out on a date across the world? Her answer was neither Shahid Kapoor and nor Saif Ali Khan. The person Kareena named was none other Congress president Rahul Gandhi.
Elaborating the reason why she chose Rahul Gandhi, the ‘Veere Di Wedding’ actress said that she is really intrigued by him and would like to know more about him. She emphasised saying that Rahul belongs to a family which comes from politics and she belongs to a family which comes from a cinematic background.
In the following video, Kareena, who is now happily married to Saif Ali Khan and has a cute 2-year old son Taimur Ali Khan, can be heard saying, “Shall I say this, I don’t know if I should. But I don’t mind it’s controversial. Rahul Gandhi. I’d like to know him. I have been flipping through his pictures in a magazine and wondering what would it be like to have a conversation with him. I come from a family with a lineage of films and he comes from a family with a lineage of politics. So, maybe we’d make an interesting conversation.”
