Karisma Kapoor tests positive for COVID, confirms sister Kareena Kapoor

On Thursday, Kareena Kapoor bumped into her Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham co-star Kajol in Mumbai as they were shooting at the same location. The two also were seen chatting, during which, Kareena confirmed that her sister and Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor has tested positive for COVID. The actresses were talking about babies, COVID and their husbands – Saif Ali Khan and Ajay Devgn.

In the video that is doing rounds on social media. “What’s happening!” Kareena said. Kajol is asking Bebo, “How is your new baby?” To which, the Good Newwz actress replies, “Oh god, he’s already a year. Covid, everything.. we all had Covid.” Further,  Kajol adds that even she was tested positive for the virus in the past. However, she stated that she’s COVID free now. This is when Kareena revealed that Karisma Kapoor has tested Covid-positive. She said, “Lolo (Karisma’s nickname) just turned positive yesterday.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kareena Kapoor will be seen next in Laal Singh Chaddha, a remake of the American comedy-drama Forrest Gump (1994) She will be teaming up with Aamir Khan for the third time. The film is being directed by Advait Chandan.  It is now slated for cinema release on 11 August 2022.  It will also star Naga Chaitanya, which marks his debut in the Bollywood industry. She will also debut as a producer in a thriller which she will star and Hansal Mehta direct.

Whereas, Kajol will star next in Salaam Venky, which will also feature Vishal Jethwa, Aahana Kumra, Anant Mahadevan, to be directed by veteran actor-filmmaker Revathy. Based on a true story, filming for the project has already begun.
