Karisma Kapoor to explore the digital space with Ekta Kapoor’s Alt Balaji?

After Emraan Hashmi, Bhumi Pednekar, Radhika Apte and Saif Ali Khan, the latest celebrity to venture into the digital space is none other than Saif’s sister-in-law, Karisma Kapoor. The actress who last appeared on the silver screen in ‘Dangerous Ishq’, is reportedly set to make her digital debut with Ekta Kapoor’s Alt Balaji.

A source close to DNA said, “Karisma has signed a deal with Ekta Kapoor’s Alt Balaji. She is doing a web series for them. They have locked the script and dates, but everything is being kept under wraps till the big announcement.”

“Kareena and Ekta are quite close to each other. Plus, her brother-in-law Saif Ali Khan also enjoyed his digital experience, so he and Bebo asked Karisma to hear the script. She agreed to do that. She liked the story and realised that the web is a burgeoning space, so she decided to give it a shot,” added the source.

Earlier in an interview with the daily, the actress had stated that she is happy being a mother and will not take any project unless it touches her heart. Looks like, Karisma has finally found her right project. Six years is long though!

It will be a great sight to watch Karisma on-screen as she was one of the finest actresses of the 90’s. What do you feel?
