Karisma’s beau Sandeep granted divorce. Wedding bells for the couple soon?

On Monday, Karisma Kapoor‘s beau, Sandeep Toshniwal was finally granted a divorce from his orthodontist wife, Dr Ashrita. Their divorce came through after 14 years of marriage and it was by mutual consent. Toshniwal a businessman from Delhi, had filed for a divorce in the year 2010 and it took seven long years for the divorce to finally come through.

The duo agreed for a settlement only this year. As per their agreement, the couple’s two daughters aged 9 and 12 will get Rs 3 crore each, whereas Ashrita will get Rs 2 crore and their Delhi flat as a part of the alimony. The children will stay with their mother.

Their divorce story was quite a dramatic one as Ashrita had approached the Bandra family court through her lawyer Manjula Rao as she wanted to stop Toshniwal from disposing of their Delhi house which was jointly owned by both of them. So, Toshniwal asked for a divorce from Ashrita and when she refused, he alleged her of being a schizophrenic. Ashrita in return filed a counter application and accused him of adultery.

The case turned uglier as the two started an argument over child visitation rights. Represented by lawyer Taubon Irani, Toshniwal was cross-examined, but before Ashrita’s cross examination could be done with, they decided to visit a mediator this year. Ashrita appeared for cross-examination for only a day. Post the mediation, Toshniwal asked for a certain amount of time to make arrangements of the finances. The house which was jointly owned by the duo was sold and both got 50% share. Post that, Ashrita moved into another house in Delhi itself. Now, Toshniwal has to pay the remainder instalments of the house that she has been staying in currently. After the arrangement last week, the couple finally decided on parting ways and the divorce came through.

Now that the couple has finally got a divorce, do we expect wedding bells to ring soon for Sandeep and actress Karisma Kapoor? The two are reportedly together since three years and have been spotted making public appearances on various occasions. Karisma’s personal life hasn’t been an easy one too as she got a divorce from her ex-husband Sanjay Kapur last year.
