Kartik Aaryan breaks silence on dating rumours with Sara Ali Khan

Kartik Aaryan recently opened up about his link-up rumours with Sara Ali Khan when he clarified that it was promotional. Kartik and Sara were seen in Imtiaz Ali’s movie Love Aaj Kal when the duo were rumoured to be dating. While the two always managed to dodge the question of whether they were an item, their multiple appearances together and mushy photos said otherwise.

But recently in an interview, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 star opened up about being rumoured to be dating Sara Ali Khan. Kartik clarified that not everything about his life is promotional and that they are humans as well. When it was revealed that Sara would be sharing screen space with Kartik, rumours about the two dating also began to make the rounds, many trolls called it a publicity stunt for Love Aaj Kal.

Aaryan told Navbharat Times, “No, no. There was nothing promotional there. How do I explain this? No dear, I mean, we are humans as well. Not everything is promotional. This is all that I will say on this topic.”

Earlier, on an episode of Koffee With Karan, Sara confessed that she finds Kartik Aaryan cute and would like to date him. But unfortunately, reports claimed that Sara and Kartik broke up soon after the release of Love Aaj Kal and even unfollowed each other on social media. Addressing the dating rumours, Sara had earlier told Pinkvilla, “I am dating him in the film. That’s all that matters. Please come and watch us ‘dating’ for 2.5 hours on Valentine’s Day.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kartik was recently seen in the movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which also stars Kiara Advani and Tabu. The movie hit the theatres today, May 20. Sara, on the other hand, will be seen next in Vikrant Massey-starrer Gaslight and she also has another film with Vicky Kaushal, the title of which is yet to be revealed.
