Kartik Aaryan gets emotional as he recalls his mother’s battle against cancer, says, ‘Her Fortitude and Fearlessness kept us going’

Actor Kartik Aaryan is very close to his mother Mala Tiwari. At a recent event in Mumbai, the Dhamaka actor spoke about his mother’s fight against breast cancer. While speaking about it, he got emotional. Kartik and his mom were at the cancer prevention awareness drive at a Mumbai hospital. The event felicitated the cancer survivors which also included Kartik’s mother. For the unversed, the actor’s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer 4 years ago and she fought the deadly disease and won.

The actor shared a video from the event on his Instagram handle. In the video, Kartik and his mother were also dancing alongside a group of other cancer survivors. Sharing the video, he penned an emotional note saying that he is proud of his mom and respects all the people who have shown courage fighting this disease.

Kartik wrote, “From going for chemotherapy sessions during the shoot of these songs, to now dancing on stage on the same- The journey has been arduous! But her Positivity , Fortitude and Fearlessness kept us going. Today i can proudly say: My Mom fought the battle against cancer and WON. And for that we are all stronger. I am so so proud of you Mummy and I pay my respects to all the people who could not make it and to all the people who have shown courage fighting this disease.”
