Kartik Aaryan on ‘Love Aaj Kal’s failure at the box-office: I genuinely never bothered about the outcome

After so much hype and expectations, Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan starrer ‘Love Aaj Kal’ failed to impress us and also failed to do wonders at the box-office. The audience, as well as critics, were highly disappointed with the movie. ‘Love Aaj Kal’ was the sequel to director Imtiaz Ali’s 2009 film with the same title.

Talking about the movie, Kartik told Bombay Times, “I don’t think I had to ‘handle’ anything. When I was offered Love Aaj Kal, I was most excited about the process of working on an Imtiaz Ali love story. The process completely lived up to my imagination.”

He further said he never bothered about the result as the film has given him so much as an actor. Kartik said, “I have learnt so much from being on Imtiaz sir’s set, and the energy was on another level. It has given me so much as an actor that I genuinely never bothered about the outcome. A great box office performance would have been nice, but a below-average one doesn’t bother me at all. At least not yet. Plus, the fact that my performance was so appreciated, especially by my favourite filmmakers, is more than enough for me.”

On the work front, Kartik will be seen in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, ‘Dostana 2’, and ‘Dhamaka’.
