Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit starrer Tezaab is one of the iconic movies. Rumours of its remake have been on for long now. Apparently, Ranveer Singh and Janhvi Kapoor were roped in to star in the remake of the movie. But looks like it is not Ranveer but Kartik Aaryan who has been locked to play the iconic role of Munna in Tezaab 2.

Rumours abound that Kartik Aaryan has replaced Ranveer Singh in the Tezaab remake. Finally, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 star has reacted to the rumours and called them baseless.

Kartik took to social media and denied reports of replacing Ranveer Singh. Taking to his Twitter account, Kartik simply re-posted the tweet and added, “Not true.”

Tezaab featured Anil Kapoor, Chunky Panday, and Madhuri Dixit in lead roles. Last year it was reported that producer Murad Khetani, who has bankrolled films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and Thadam Hindi remake, bought the rights to Tezaab. The 1988 N Chandra directorial was to be given a modern-day adaptation. But there has been no more update on the subject as yet.

Kartik was last seen having a cameo in Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. He is currently busy with Satya Prem Ki Katha. The movie has his Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 co-star Kiara Advani as the female lead. Directed by Sameer Vidwan, the film is up for release this year. Besides this, Kartik also has Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Captain India, Aashiqui 3, and more in his kitty.

Ranveer Singh is gearing up for the release of his next titled Rocky Aur Rani Ki PremKahani. The Karan Johar directorial also has Alia Bhatt as the female lead. This is the second time Alia and Ranveer are collaborating post-Gully Boy.
