Kartik Aaryan opens up about the alleged tiff with Karan Johar over Dostana 2

Actor Kartik Aaryan was supposed to star in Karan Johar’s production venture Dostana 2. However, last year, the makers of the film shared an official announcement stating “Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain a dignified silence – we will be recasting Dostana 2, directed by Collin D’Cunha. Please wait for the official announcement soon.” Having said that, soon rumours were rife stating that Kartik has indeed opted out from the project.

Since then, it was presumed that there has been a fallout between Kartik and Karan. Though there has been no confirmation, now, the Luka Chuppi actor has finally opened up about the alleged tiff with KJo in the latest interview. Aaryan mentioned that he wants to focus on his work and other things are just rumours. “I just focus on my work. That’s all I would like to say on this. Look at my line-up,” the actor told Indian Express.

Karan Aaryan added further, “What happens, at times, is people make ‘baat ka batangad’. There is nothing more to it. No one has so much time. Everybody just wants to work, do good work. Other than that, things are just rumours.”

Even though he has missed out on Dostana 2 which stars Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya, the 31-year old actor has some lucrative films in the pipeline. Kartik Aaryan will be next seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 with Kiara Advani and Tabu. He also has Freddy with Alaya F, Shehzaada with Kriti Sanon and Satyanarayan ki Katha.
