There are a lot of old Hindi songs that are being recreated for Bollywood films. The latest one in the list is Akshay Kumar and Urmila Matondkar’s ‘Yeh Khabar Chapva Do’ song. It was shot in their 1997 romance-action film ‘Aflatoon’. The song is being remade by Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon for their upcoming film ‘Luka Chuppi’.
According to Mumbai Mirror reports, Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon have already shot the recreated version of the song along with co-star Pankaj Tripathi. It is to be noted that the film director Laxman Utekar is making his directorial debut with ‘Luka Chuppi’.
“‘Luka Chuppi’ is set in Mathura with Kartik playing a television reporter, the quintessential good boy every girl wants to take home to mommy. Kriti is a local girl, who had gone Delhi to study, but has since returned to her hometown. The entire film has been shot in a North India city. But like the original song, the new version has been filmed at a lot of interesting locations in and around Mumbai,” a source told Mumbai Mirror.
As per the reports, the song features almost 150 dancers who will be seen matching dance steps with Kartik, Kriti and Tripathi.
Talking about the original song, Akshay Kumar and Urmila Matondkar’s ‘Yeh Khabar Chapva Do’ was composed by 90’s hit duo Dilip Sen and Sameer Sen and written by Anand Bakshi. The recreated version of ‘Yeh Khabar Chapva Do’ is being directed by Vijay Ganguli.
Meanwhile, ‘Luka Chuppi’ is being backed by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Laxmi Utrekar. It is all set to hit the theatres on March 1.
